Is Your Association Up to the Challenge—

the RAC 2012 Certification Challenge?

For 2012, the MAS/CAS Challenge goes by the name RAC Certification Challenge, reflecting the enhancements to PPAI’s professional development program announced at The PPAI Expo. The last day of the 2012 Challenge is October 31, 2012. Winners will be announced at The PPAI Expo 2013 during the RAC Delegate Assembly.

This exciting, education-focused competition challenges all regional associations to encourage member certification and to present MAS/CAS educational programming.

Recognizing industry professionals feels good – for both you and the designee!

       $750 for speaker expenses

One MAS, or CAS test (value: $225)

• Regional Associations will be divided into two categories based on the number of dues-paying members:

Group 1:  an association with 1–300 dues paying members

Group 2:  an association with 301+ dues paying members

• All winners will receive promotion on the RAC website and Facebook page, as well as coverage in PPAI publications

• All winners will receive MAS/CAS Challenge Winner graphics for use on their websites and social media channels

The Rules

• One point will be awarded for each MAS/CAS opportunity and one point for each new MAS/CAS designee. In the event of a dispute, the current MAS/CAS Advisory Group will make a final decision.

• PPAI’s designee records and database will be the final documents to confirm MAS, or CAS certification.

• MAS/CAS activity will be calculated from January 1 through October 31, 2011 for the first year of competition. Each year after, activity will be calculated November 1 through October 31.

• Regional Associations will be divided into two categories based on the number of dues-paying members:

Group 1:  an association with 1–300 dues paying members

Group 2:  an association with 301+ dues paying members

• PPAI’s Regional Relations zip code territory list will define a regional association’s membership territory.

• On/before November 1 of each year, regional associations must submit a count of dues-paying members to PPAI Regional Relations.

• Only dues-paying members in good standing will count toward the membership total. Count includes members in association’s grace periods.

• Cash and product prizes are to be used within 12 months of issue. If the product prize is not available at the time of redemption, a substitute product of the same value will be offered.

• In case of a tie, the cash prize will be split equally. The product prize will be re-evaluated and an equivalent product prize will be substituted per the RAC Board’s MAS/CAS Advisory Group.

• If multiple regional associations contribute to the success of a MAS/CAS opportunity, the regional association contributing the bulk of the work will receive 50% of each point and other regional associations will share the remaining 50%.
