MiPPA Members Dine with PPAI Leaders
Paul Kiewiet, MAS+, Executive Director of MiPPA; Mary Jo Tomasini, MAS, PPAI Board Chair and CEO of CE Competitive Edge, Inc. based in Stevensville, Michigan; and Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI President and CEO, hosted groups of 12 MiPPA members each evening for dinners in Southfield and Grand Rapids, Michigan. The invitation-only dinners were an opportunity for the PPAI leadership to interact in small groups with MiPPA’s most active and emerging leaders.
“The hosted dinners brought out some of MiPPA’s most engaged members and provided them with a compelling networking opportunity, too,” adds Bellantone. “I plan to continue the dinners during my visits around the country—it’s one more way we are moving toward our strategic plan goal of building stronger relationships with our members.”
Kiewiet agrees. “It was a strategic example of how PPAI is moving from transactional to relational.”
Tomasini summarizes the weeks’ events this way: “Our industry is built on relationships—relationships with our customers, our supplier partners and other members who share the same love and passion for the work we do. The dinners were invaluable and found myself wishing we would take the time to do things like this more often.”
